However when analysing the speed measured by the operating system, in both cases the speed pattern seems to be similar (despite the web and MEGAsync show different speeds). If the transfer starts very fast and then reduces the speed, the web would show a high speed during a longer period of time, while MEGAsync would almost immediately show the current speed. The main difference in transfer speed statistics you have observed can be caused by the fact that MEGA on browser seems to be showing the mean speed during the whole transfer or during a longer syncing period while MEGAsync shows the mean speed during only the last 5 seconds.
Firstly do not confuse your connection (Mbps) with transfer speed (MB/s)!
